The story behind the name

The conceptualization of Sunshine, wind and kites happened on an especially hot and humid Summer’s day. We were brainstorming of a name that would encapsulate the entirety and essence of what we do, and Sunshine, wind and kites stuck!

Sunshine, wind and kites have several meanings. First and foremost, it comprises some of the things the creative director, Shan, loves. Shan loves sunshine, wind and kites!

The Sunshine, wind and kites tripartite conveys stability and security, yet imbued with an unparalleled fluidity with its elements of sunshine, wind and kites.

Firstly, Sunshine has played an instrumental role in creating and sustaining a brand, Shanshine, for Shan!

Secondly, Wind connotes freedom, natural, air in motion, a tremendous force not to be reckoned with. Wind flows everywhere, and nothing keeps wind out.

Thirdly, Kites connote the awe-inspiring, graceful and majestic members of the Hawk family Accipitridae, which inspired the creation of the inanimate kite which twists and turns gracefully with the wind.

History

Sunshine, wind and kites was established in February 2009 along the themes of Happiness and human flourishing.

Today Sunshine, wind and kites, is continually improving and scaling to greater heights.
